Tesla’s entry into India is one of the much talked about topics in the automotive market. While the American electric carmaker hasn’t yet confirmed its arrival date, it has begun testing upcoming products in the country. Recently, the new 2025 Tesla Model Y facelift was caught on camera during its test rounds on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, which are already under the homologation process, will be among the first Tesla EVs in India. The company is likely to begin its Indian operation in the second half of 2025.
2025 Tesla Model Y Battery & Range:
Globally, the Model Y is offered in two variants – RWD and Long-Range AWD – promising a range of 719km and 662km (CLTC), respectively. The RWD version accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 5.9 seconds and offers a top speed of 201kmph, while the AWD variant does 0 to 100kmph in 4.3 seconds and attain a maximum speed of 201kmph.

Colour Options:
Similar to the global-spec Model Y, the model coming to India could be offered in six colour options – Pearl White, Quicksilver, Deep Blue Metallic, Stealth Grey, Ultra Red and Diamond Black.
