The bike’s lineup comes in three trims – Hotrod, Classic and Chrome – priced at Rs 3.37 lakh, Rs 3.41 lakh and Rs 3.50 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom, Chennai). Bookings, test rides and sales have commenced nationwide from today.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 Colours
The entry-level Hotrod variant comes in two colour schemes – Vallam Red and Bruntingthorpe Blue, while the Classic and Chrome trims are available in Teal and Black Chrome shades, respectively.

For power, the new RE Classic 650 uses the renowned 647.95cc, twin-cylinder inline, 4-stroke SOHC engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 47.6PS at 7,250rpm and 52.3Nm of torque at 5,650rpm. The bike has a 6-speed constant mesh for performing transmission duties.
Suspension, Brakes and Tyres:
The bike underpins the steel tubular spin frame, and comes equipped with the conventional 43mm telescopic fork and twin shock rear suspension by Showa. It rides on the 19-inch front and 18-inch rear tyres shod with 100/90 and 140/70 size tyres, respectively. Braking duties are handled by hydraulic 320mm front and 300mm disc brakes with twin piston floating calipers. It also gets dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

The bike offers a seat height of 800mm. It has a kerb weight (with 90 percent fuel + oil) of 243kg, and a fuel tank capacity of 14.7-litres.
