New-gen Skoda Kodiaq will go on sale on April 17 in India and it will be packed with a slew of enhancements inside and out
Skoda is planning to introduce the all-new Kodiaq in India on April 17, 2025. The premium SUV made its local debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January and it will be assembled locally. Expect the starting price to be around Rs. 42 lakh (ex-showroom) as it will compete with full-size SUVs like Fortuner, Gloster, Meridian and others.
The new Kodiaq arrives with a sharper styling and better road presence than before. It gets a redesigned front fascia with the grille reshaped alongside offering prominent vertical slats, giving it a more assertive face while the new split LED headlights complement the overall presence. Below, the reworked bumper features broader central air intakes.
Flanking those are C-shaped air curtains which are said to improve aerodynamics. Other design cues include clean, sculpted side panels, pronounced wheel arches and muscular bonnet lines. A sharply raked windshield and new quarter glass along with new 20-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof add an upscale feel.

The roofline now tapers gently toward the rear, flowing into redesigned LED tail lamps, a subtly reworked tailgate, and an updated rear bumper. Riding on an updated MQB EVO platform, the new-generation Kodiaq has grown in size, translating to a roomier cabin that should serve families better and offer long-haul comfort.
Inside, Skoda has pared back physical controls in favour of a more layout. Dominating the dashboard is a new 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, revised centre console, repositioned gear lever, and more.

The new Skoda Kodiaq will be sold in two variants namely Sportline and L&K and it will be equipped with a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is good enough to generate a maximum power output of 201 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a seven-speed DSG, sending power to all four wheels. In the global markets, Skoda retails the new Kodiaq in a variety of powertrain options including a PHEV.
