2025 KTM 390 Enduro R shares a lot with the 390 Adventure including the engine and suspension; international-spec model to follow soon
After grabbing attention at EICMA 2024 in Milan and later showing up at India Bike Week in Goa, the KTM 390 Enduro R has finally hit the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom), it slots in as an off-road-focused member of KTM’s 390 range which already includes the standard 390 Adventure and the more budget-friendly Adventure X.
Powering the 2025 KTM 390 Enduro R is the same 399 cc LC4c single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that can be seen in the latest 390 Adventure. It delivers 46 PS and 39 Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed transmission while a slipper and assist clutch comes as standard. Globally, the Enduro R lines up with KTM’s dual-sport family that includes the 125 Enduro R and the bigger 690 Enduro R.
But in India, it carves out its own niche, positioned right between the entry-level 390 Adventure X and the better-equipped standard 390 Adventure. It must be noted that the Austrian manufacturer will also introduce the global version of the 390 Enduro R in the coming months in India with higher ground clearance and specifically-developed suspension while the 390 Supermoto R is also planned for release.
The motorcycles sits on a steel trellis frame and rides on spoked wheels – 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear, unlike the 17-inch rear on the 390 Adventure. Suspension setup includes USD forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by a 285 mm front disc with an axial calliper and a 240 mm disc at the back, both supported by dual-channel ABS.

Notably, the front disc is smaller than the 390 Adventure’s 320 mm unit, hinting at tuning more focused on off-road control. Globally, the 390 Enduro R comes equipped with long-travel suspension offering 230 mm of wheel travel at both ends and a generous 272 mm of ground clearance. However, the India-spec version shares its suspension setup with the 390 Adventure R with 200 mm travel up front and 205 mm at the rear.
As a result, ground clearance drops by 19 mm and the seat height comes down by 30 mm to a more manageable 860 mm – making it slightly more accessible for Indian riders without compromising too much on capability. The 390 Enduro R sticks with a 9-litre fuel tank but sheds 5 to 6 kg compared to the 390 Adventure, thanks to its stripped-down bodywork and lean design.

Built for agility, it’s clearly aimed at riders who want something light and responsive off-road. Despite its minimal look, it still packs in key features such as switchable ABS, a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and selectable ride modes. Compared to the 390 Adventure, the Enduro R is cheaper by Rs. 30,000.
