Here’s a sneak peek at the top 4 7-seater SUVs coming this year.

Upcoming 7-Seater SUVs In 2025

MG Majestor

The MG Majestor is a premium and sportier version of the updated Gloster SUV, showcased at this year’s Bharat Mobility Show. The SUV’s design is heavily inspired by the global-spec Maxus D90, featuring a blacked-out grille with horizontal slats, black cladding at the front, blacked-out door handles, diamond-cut 19-inch alloys, black wing mirrors, wraparound connected taillamps and dual exhaust pipes. Interior details are yet to be revealed; however, it’s layout and features are likely to be identical to the Gloster facelift. For power, the MG Majestor will use the same 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine, delivering power worth 216bhp.

Maruti Grand Vitara 7-Seater

Maruti Suzuki is all set to introduce the 7-seater version of the Grand Vitara in the second half of 2025. It’s one of the highly-anticipated upcoming 7-seater SUVs, set to compete against the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. Most of its design elements and interior features will be similar to the 5-seater Grand Vitara. However, it will surely be longer and more spacious than its 5-seater counterpart. The 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara will come with the same 1.5L petrol mild hybrid and strong hybrid powertrain options.

Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater

Toyota’s rebadged version of the 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara will also arrive in 2025. However, its official launch date and details are yet to be announced. This upcoming SUV will be the 7-seater Toyota Hyryder, featuring an extended length, a spacious interior, and the brand’s signature design language.  When it comes to powertrain options, the SUV will come with the 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson cycle. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual (mild hybrid only) and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (mild hybrid only) and e-CVT (strong hybrid only).

Mahindra XEV 7e

The Mahindra XEV 7e (electric XUV700) is expected to hit Indian roads in late 2025 or early 2026. Ahead of its official arrival, images of its production-ready version have been leaked on the web. This electric SUV will borrow several design elements and features from the XEV 9e. The leaked images showed its Black and White cabin theme with a triple screen setup. Features such as Level 2 ADAS, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, VisionX HUD and more could be carried over from the Mahindra XEV 9e. In fact, the Mahindra XEV 7e might also share its powertrains with the XEV 9e.
