There are a few names that pop into my head when I think of the sport of BMX and its legends. Besides Gary Turner, Bob Haro is one of the first to pop into my noggin. And he’s not done yet. Recently, he announced a new frameset for his brand, IKONIX Bikes. It’s called the FS1, and it looks to be a modern take on a Haro freestyle frame, and looks pretty cool.

The frame and fork are limited to a run of 100 units. They’re retailing for $1,299.99. You can even pick what serial number you want between 1 and 100. There will be a 50% deposit needed to reserve the number you want.

As long as it’s not number 1 through 16, as they have been spoken for. As well as a few other scattered numbers, so any number other than those. So if you have a certain number you want to nail down, you’d better act quickly.

Did you know that Bob Haro was one of the stunt riders in the iconic BMX chase scene in the movie E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial? No? Well, it’s pretty cool. Check it out HERE.

Ok, let’s talk about IKONIX Bikes before jumping into the details of the FS1.
Who Is IKONIX?
IKONIX was founded by ABA Hall of Famer, and arguably the inventor of BMX Flatland Freestyle, Bob Haro. ICONIX combines Bob’s innovative spirit and long-time experience to deliver premium bicycles and accessories.
Blending modern technology, high-quality craftsmanship, and timeless designs, IKONIX aims to provide a product that will stand up to the performance needs of today’s riders.
The launch of the FS1 frameset marks the beginning of IKONIX Bikes, and they have a full lineup of BMX products, including more IKONIX bikes and apparel that is set to be released this Summer.
The IKONIX FS1 Frameset

After many years in the making, IKONIX launches the FS1, a limited edition frame and fork set. Only 100 will be produced, and each will be built with 100% chromoly steel.

The frame features signature hydroformed down and fork tubes, a CNC-machined head tube, dropouts, and bottom bracket. Bob says it’s “an homage to my first freestyle bike but fully modern.”

The first 100 frames will be numbered with a special signature plaque. The FS1s are supposed to ship “no later than August 15, 2025”, when you will be charged the remaining balance. You will receive regular updates on the production of your FS1.
