Hyundai has introduced a new EX variant of the Exter dual cylinder in India today. Aimed squarely at Gen MZ buyers according to the brand, this new variant slots in as an affordable, factory-fitted CNG option. With a dual-cylinder layout that frees up usable boot space, the Exter Hy-CNG Duo EX is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine.
Priced at Rs. 7,50,700 (ex-showroom), the variant comes with six airbags as standard. Other notable features of the Exter Hy-CNG Duo EX include a 10.67 cm colour TFT multi-info display in the digital cluster, LED tail lamps with H-shaped signature, keyless entry and driver seat height adjustment amongst a host of other premium features.
The dual-cylinder setup under the boot floor means there’s no compromise on luggage space, making it a strong option for small families or ride-share operators. Commenting on the new launch, Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said,

A few months back, Hyundai expanded the Exter lineup with new variants and additional features, further boosting its appeal in the SUV space. Among the highlights was the launch of the SX Tech trim, now offered in both petrol and factory-fitted dual-cylinder CNG options.

The SX Tech packs in a long list of features such as a smart key with push-button start, a dual-camera dashcam setup and an electric sunroof. The cabin tech is sorted too, thanks to an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Hyundai has also loaded in convenience-focused features like automatic climate control and projector headlamps featuring a bi-function setup.
