The Toyota Fortuner, India’s top-selling full-size SUV, has always been favoured for its 4X4 capabilities, powerful engine and reliability. This ladder frame SUV has three major rivals – the Jeep Meridian, Isuzu MU-X and MG Gloster. JSW MG Motor India is all set to give a major update to the Gloster SUV in the coming months. The carmaker will also introduce a more premium variant of the updated Gloster – the MG Majestor – which made its debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. It will be positioned as a new, direct rival of the Toyota Fortuner.
Here’re all key details of the upcoming MG Majestor SUV (updated Gloster).
Design Details:
The design and styling of the Majestor are inspired by the globally sold Maxus D90 SUV. It features a large, blacked-out grille with horizontal slats flanked by a split headlamp setup, a slightly larger MG logo, slim LED DRLs placed vertically below the headlamp clusters, black cladding running across its length at the front and a silver bash plate.
The SUV comes with the 19-inch, 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels along with the chrome finish and blacked-out treatment on the door handles, top-half and wing mirrors. The rear profile of the MG Majestor looks similar to the Gloster, featuring dual exhaust pipes, wraparound connected taillamps and a sporty bumper and a skid plate.
