The second-generation Kia Seltos was spied again during its test rounds in a foreign land. The heavily camouflaged test mule showcased newly-designed alloy wheels revised wheel arches. While the front and rear profiles were properly covered, they could be revised with a new grille, tweaked bumpers, new LED headlamps, dual-tone ORVMs and redesigned LED taillamps. The new Kia Seltos 2026 is likely to derive some of its design cues from the Kia EV5 including the new taillamps with triangular-shaped elements.
Expected interior changes:
Previous spy images reveal that the new-gen Seltos will have dual-tone silver and grey upholstery with contrasting orange inserts. Aiming to enhance its premium appeal, Kia might equip the SUV with the 30-inch Trinity display borrowed from the Kia Syros. This screen setup consists of three displays – a 12.3-inch infotainment, a 12.3-inch driver’s instrument console and a 5-inch fully automatic AC control. The rest of features will be carried forward from the current generation.

Seltos Hybrid Confirmed!
The South Korean automaker recently confirmed the Kia Seltos hybrid for global markets. While there is no official word on its India launch, the model is likely to make its way here. The hybrid version of the SUV is likely to feature a 1.6L petrol engine and a rear-axle mounted electric motor.
India-Spec Engine Options:
In India, the new Kia Seltos 2026 is expected to retain the existing engine setup that includes a 1.5L MPi petrol, 1.5L petrol engines, delivering power worth 115PS with 144Nm and 160PS with 253Nm, respectively. The Seltos diesel will continue to use the same 1.5L engine, available with two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The petrol engines will come with the 6-speed manual and iVT transmission options.
The new-gen Kia Seltos will hit Indian roads in early 2026. The SUV is set to make its global debut towards the end of this year. It will continue to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate.
